Tips & Tricks: Work Information Window
Labnet's Work Information Window now has a new name and increases functionality
"Work Information" is now called "Workcode List." The layout in this window is more user friendly.
The "Showing" feature allows the user to limit the list for viewing, and will keep the user informed of the number of records
in the list and their sort order. Holding down the control key while using the sort header buttons allows for a multiple sub-sort.
The list window not only remembers where you like it on the screen but it will also remember your last Showing and sorting settings for
the next time you open the window on a per station code basis.
Utilities are now more prominent and categorized. Muti-record edit is a very exciting feature in "Workcode List." This allows the user to select multiple records to change their information. The user will highlight the records and then choose the edit above the correct column. The changes that are made are reflected for all highlighted items. When editing multiple records when appropriate, you are offered the "Change case only" option with will instead of changing all selected records to the same value, Labnet will alter data you have per record. Options include the following:
- Make Word Case
- MAKE ALL CAPS
- make all lowercase
- Only_numbers_letters and underscores
Changes are made, and the work code list automatically refreshes the help list and are logged by station code for auditing.
Sub Group is a new feature. It is used for adhoc and SQL reporting.
